1. Conductor: Bare aluminum, alloy 1350, circular compacted stranded (Class 2).
2. Conductor shield: Semiconductor thermosetting compound .
3. Insulation: Thermosetting compound (HEPR) – High Modulus.
4. Insulation Shield: Semiconductor thermosetting compound, easy to remove.
5. Metal Shielding: Bare copper wire.
6. Separator: Non-hygroscopic polyester tape, applied in a helix covering 100% of the cable.
7. Cover: Non-halogenated, non-flame-propagating thermoplastic compound (SHF1), with low smoke and toxic gas emissions.
Applications
The modern technology used in the manufacture of ATOX AL Slim 90 Aluminum Non-Halogenated Medium Voltage Cable provides an excellent technical and very economical alternative for electrical installations in buildings where there is a high concentration of people (e.g. airports, tunnels, commercial buildings such as hotels, cinemas, shopping malls, hospitals, residential buildings) and where evacuation from the site is long and difficult in the event of a fire. These areas are classified as BD2, BD3 and BD4 by NBR 5410 and NBR 13570. They can be installed outdoors, in conduits, ducts, trays or directly underground.
