Construction
1. Conductor: Bare electrolytic copper conductor, soft temper, flexible stranding.
2. Insulation: Extruded compound based on flame-retardant, lead-free polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
3. Gathering: The veins (insulated conductors) are twisted together in concentric crowns to form the core of the cable.
4. Separator: Banding with polyester tape, applied in an overlapping helix, over the meeting of the strands.
5. Inner jacket: Extruded layer of flame-retardant, lead-free polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound.
6. Shield: Braid of tinned copper wires.
7. Cover: Extruded layer of lead-free, flame-retardant polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound in black.
Numbered black veins.
Applications
The 1000 V shielded control cable (PCV/PVC) with tinned copper wire braid is used in control, signaling, remote control and power supply circuits in fixed installations with a voltage rating of up to 1000 V. For installations requiring protection against interference, noise, magnetic fields and good mechanical resistance to radial stress, as well as flexibility.
Packaging
They are usually packed in wooden reels.
Specifications
ABNT NBR-7289 – Control cables with extruded Polyethylene (PE) or Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) insulation for voltages up to 1 kV.
